Announcement :)
It took me a while to decide whether to put up this page or not. Publishing every single one of my postcards might cause disappointment to the receivers -- due to the possible expectations they might have after viewing this page. It might not be the same one that they wish to have. But still...I will like to keep a record of my darling postcards. AND, I believe all the people who are receiving my postcards are nice people! (aren't you?)
Please don't look down on any of the postcards, I love them all, and hope you will as well. XD P.S. The postcards with "Destination(s)" labeling "TBA" are the postcards that are still available to be adopted. Feel free to let me know! :D P.S.2 ... I sometimes just type up what I wrote in the postcard, because writing to someone is easier than just writing for the sake of writing... sorry for the people that are receiving it. Please still feel special though! You are receiving the words and the actual postcard after all. ;) |

Nottingham Castle
Nottingham Castle, 1860.
Samuel Oscroft (1834-1924). The castle was beautiful, and I enjoyed some of the exhibitions...but unfortunately that the tour guide was sick for the day. One of the exhibition hall was MASSIVE, with giant paintings and really had the feeling of being in a castle. But it would have felt even better if they have the tour running! |

This is where I study at! The building with the clock tower is the Trent Building, which... I am not sure what it is for yet. We went to the Great Hall that's located in the Trent Building for the "Barn Dance" event during the International Welcome Programme. It was later been used as the Health Registration site... Multipurpose Building? :) |

Collection: The University of Nottingham --- I passed through this art gallery when I decided to try a new route walking back to my residence (the result is... I was lost for 1 hour and 15 minutes lol). My favorite paintings ("Storm over our town" http://goldenagepaintings.blogspot.co.uk/2010/03/dame-laura-knight.html and "Spring" http://www.gbgm-umc.org/smark2umc/building.html ) from the exhibition weren't made into postcards, but I also quite like these two. :) |

Wollaton Hall & Rose Gardens
"Designed by the flamboyant Robert Smythson and completed in 1588, Wollaton Hall is one of the finest Frade 1 Elizabethan houses in England, standing on a hill within 500 acres of parkland where the herds of red and fallow deer roam freely. Built by and once home to the wealthy coal baron Sir Francis Willoughby and his family, the main hall now houses Nottingham's Natural History Collection. Available as a print from www.hedgerow.co.uk."
This is also where they filmed Batman- The Dark Knight Rises. ;) |
